67 NWW Cyber Warrior takes Air Force Award

The Air Force announced on May 3, that Ms. Susan A. Bibus was selected as the 2006 Mission Support Award, Civilian Personnel Specialist of the Year.  Ms. Bibus is the  Wing Civilian Personnel Liaison for over 160 civilian cyber professionals representing them with HQ Air Intelligence Agency Civilian Personnel Flight and the Air Force Personnel Center.  She assists wing members with education, training, personnel actions, and many other important civilian career-related matters. She further assists leadership in managing the civilian appraisal system, setting up recognition boards, and other management programs.  Ms. Bibus orchestrated a 67 NWW-hosted Cyber Warfare course for civilians conducted by instructors from the Air Force Institute of Technology.  Her work provided many in the Wing's civilian workforce a better understanding of the cyber technology, operations, and vision of the future of Network Warfare during the transition from the Wing's former mission of Information Operations.

Ms. Bibus has been a valuable Wingman in the 67th NWW for over nine years and began her Air Force civilian service career in August, 1979, as secretary to the 2140th Communications Group Commander at Hellenikon Air Base, Greece.  With a follow-on assignment to San Antonio, Texas, Ms. Bibus held various secretarial positions of increasing responsibility within the HQ Air Intelligence Agency, Joint Electronic Warfare Center, Air Force Cryptologic Support Center, the Air Force Information Warfare Center, and promotion in September, 1996, as secretary to the 67th Intelligence Wing Commander. Ms. Bibus was promoted in September 2005 to  her present role as Wing-wide Civilian Personnel Liaison.

General Robert Keys, Commander, Air Combat Command presented the Air Combat Command 2006 Outstanding Civilian Personnel Specialist, Category IV-B, to her personally during his visit to the wing on May 11, capping a very productive year.   Ms. Bibus also received recognitioin as the Air Force Association, Alamo Chapter, Carlton and Charlotte Loos, 2006 Outstanding Civilian Award; 67 NWW Wing-wide Civilian of the 3d Quarter 2006; 67 NWW Wing-wide Civilian of 4th Quarter 2006; 67 NWW Wing-wide Civilian of the Year 2006; and Alamo Federal Executive Board--Runner-up, Administrative Support, 2007 Excellence in Government Award
