Whiteman participates in 2018 Rose Parade and Rose Bowl

A U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., and two F-35 Lightning IIs from Edwards AFB, Calif., teamed up with Donate Life to perform a flyover for the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 1, 2018. One F-35 Lightning II was dedicated to organ donors and the second F-35 was dedicated to organ recipients. The annual parade included over 35 floats, 20 bands and 20 equestrian units.

The Amazon Prime Exclusive Series float participates in the 129th Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 1, 2018. With three human-powered units, the wheels were pushed 5.5 miles through the parade route. During the float’s decorating process, several members of Team Whiteman helped decorate it by placing a rose on one of the wheels.

The Donate Life float participates in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 1, 2018. The Donate Life float has participated in the parade for 15 years. The centerpiece of the float was an Aztec calendar that incorporated 44 memorial portraits of organ and tissue donors.
