Brigadier General DEAN D. SNIEGOWSKI

Brig. Gen. Dean D. Sniegowski is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Eighth Air Force and Joint Global Strike Operations Center at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. He is responsible for assisting the commander in the management of “The Mighty Eighth,” consisting of the nation’s bomber and nuclear command and control assets.

Brig. Gen. Sniegowski entered the Air Force in 1995 after commissioning through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training program at Eastern Michigan University. He has been qualified as a Deputy Crew Commander for the Peacekeeper ICBM and Navigator and Radar Navigator on the B-52 Stratofortress aircraft.

Brig. Gen. Sniegowski has served for more than 25 years in a variety of flying, staff and command assignments at the flight, group and wing level. Brigadier General Sniegowski is a navigator with more than 1,100 flying hours, including 17 combat sorties in the B-52 in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the vice commander, Tenth Air Force, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas.
