BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. – Maj. Gen. Floyd Carpenter, Eighth Air Force commander, get s a tour of renovations going on inside Building 5354 from Darin Bailey, NAVFAC southeast resident engineer. A groundbreaking ceremony commemorating the $25 million renovation project was held Oct. 4. The renovations cover more than 77,000 square feet of office space and will transform the building built in 1934 into a 21st Century warfighting headquarters for Eighth Air Force.
