Floyd Carpenter, Eighth Air Force commander; Mayor Lorenz Walker, Bossier City, La., mayor; and Col. Timothy Fay, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, shovel the ceremonial first mound of dirt signifying groundbreaking ceremony on the $25 million renovation to the new Eighth Air Force Headquarters building on Barksdale Air Force Base Oct. 4.
