A building dedication and cake cutting ceremony takes place at the 8th Air Force headquarters building on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 2, 2017. The event took place as part of the 8th Air Force’s 75th diamond anniversary events. A plaque containing 93-year-old World War II veteran Raymond Odom’s repatriated dog tags is signed by Royal Air Force and US Air Force military members and U.K. citizens who took part in the discovery and recovery process of the dog tags. After more than 70 years, the tags surfaced during a metal detecting trip in England in May 2016. U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen.
