World War II Veteran receives French Legion of Honor

John Carpenter, a World War II veteran, was presented the French Legion of Honor for his service during World War II on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 1, 2014. As a logistics soldier during World War II, Carpenter received recognition from General George Patton for his contributions to the war effort.
