Ready to receive: B-52s touch down at RAF Fairford
A B-52H Stratofortress from Minot Air Force Base, N.D., arrives at Royal Air Force Fairford, United Kingdom, June 2, 2016. The deployment of U.S. bombers to RAF Fairford in support of exercises Saber Strike 16 and BALTOPS 16, which was coordinated with U.S. European Command and NATO, demonstrates the U.S.’s long-standing relationship with our UK allies. RAF Fairford’s strategic location, unique capabilities and support facilities establish this base as a key location for large-scale exercises and readiness operations and an ideal site for bomber operations.
