Dog tags make final journey home to WWII veteran

A plaque containing 93-year-old World War II veteran Raymond Odom’s repatriated dog tags is signed by Royal Air Force and US Air Force military members and U.K. citizens who took part in the discovery and recovery process of the dog tags. After more than 70 years, the tags surfaced during a metal detecting trip in England in May 2016. U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Thomas Bussiere, 8th Air Force commander, presented the plaque to Odom during an 8th Air Force 75th Anniversary event in Farmerville, La., Feb. 2, 2017.
