Year of the Family: HQ 8 AF recognizes 2016 Annual Awards winners

Mighty Eighth Airmen are congratulated during the 2016 Headquarters Eighth Air Force Annual Awards ceremony held at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 27, 2017. Maj. Gen. Thomas Bussiere, Eighth Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Alan Boling, Eighth Air Force command chief, presented awards to seven Airmen and civilians assigned to Headquarters Eighth Air Force to recognize their professionalism and successes throughout the year, with a focus on appreciation toward family members. Air Force Global Strike Command announced that 2017 was dubbed “Year of the Family,” which focuses on efforts that directly impact the quality of life for Airmen and their family members.
