HQ 8 AF dedicated to WWII leader
The Headquarters Eighth Air Force building was dedicated in honor of General James H. “Jimmy” Doolittle during a series of events at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 2, 2017, in commemoration of the Eighth Air Force’s 75th anniversary. On May 5, 2017, the official plaque was hung in the foyer to represent the new name of the building: General Doolittle Hall. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Erin Trower)
