Members of the Eighth Air Force Top 3 helped spread holiday cheer by wrapping presents, building bikes, and placing presents in bags for delivery at the Providence House warehouse in Shreveport Dec. 17. The presents will be delivered during Christmas week to families enrolled in the "Adopt-a-Family" program.

The Adopt-a-Family program, an annual drive to provide gifts to homeless families in the Providence House, is helping more than 150 families in the Shreveport-Bossier City area enjoy a special Christmas. Sponsors "adopt" a family and purchase gifts from a wish list written by the recipient themselves. This is the nineteenth year of the program.

Providence House helps local homeless families overcome their crises and return to self-sufficiency by providing short-term transitional housing in combination with an individualized support program including parenting, money management and life skills development.
